I went on the 24th July to the 7th September, I loved it!
On this day, (17/11/2011) I Still have the bracelet on from the first day of the holiday, I loved it so much! I am going to keep it on for as long as possible

This was our first holiday abroad and you guys have set the bar extremely high. Excellent value for money, really good food lots of variety (Loved the barbeque night). Staff very friendly and welcoming, rooms extremely high standard and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, a few times a bit too much!

Just read the above comments & the good ones are true, The bad ones (not many) must have stayed at another hotel as we have been twice & booked again as soon as we arrived home for 03 May 2012, There are others like us that go every year as the service & accommodation are five star in my books, We always put our views on trip adviser if you want to check them out,

just had 11 nights there, and overall really enjoyed it. Rooms were clean, food was really nice, especially the breakfasts, always plenty of choice. Loved the bbq night! The entertainment was good most nights, my kids especially enjoyed the exotic animal shows.Beach was gorgeous, not a problem walking down but too steep to walk back in the heat, but really cheap to jump in a taxi. A very relaxing atmosphere! Would definately recomend this hotel.

Well I just thought I would write to say we are going back to the Altamadores for the fourth year in a row, in July 2011. This Hotel is fantastic and I can’t understand the review by Jenny above, as the staff are absolutely wonderful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable and the food is always plentiful (the case always includes looser fitting clothes for the second week!). If it’s the same as previous years, breakfast is available until 10.30, lunch is laid out for 12 o’clock and is available until 4o’clock with all different choices including big tubs of flavoured icecreams. Little tubs of icecream are also available in the day. Then at 6 o’clock the evening meal is ready until 9 o’clock.

There have been some good evening shows, especially tribute acts, dancers and magic. The on site entertainer has changed each year we have been and some have been better than others, but this obviously hasn’t put us off going back. I do have to say though, that Leo in 2009 was a fantastic host and it is a real shame that he isn’t still there. He worked his socks off to entertain everyone and I can guarantee the reviews would be even better than they already are, if he was stll there. Some people came back last year because of him, and were really disappointed he had gone. I have read a couple of recent reviews on trip advisor where Leanne has covered the entertainment for a while and people have said she was really good, perhaps the entertainment Manager may consider keeping her there??

There is lots to do in Gran Canaria and you don’t have to pay expensive excursion prices, as it’s really easy to go alone. Taxi’s are cheap from the Hotel to the town or the port and then you can get a bus to the camels in Maspalomas or the water park or just go as far as Amfi and go and have a game of crazy golf. Or get the boat to Amfi or the market in Mogan. The bus also goes to the market, if you want to make it a bit cheaper.

Turn left out of the Hotel and go up the hill, for a lovely evening walk to the Europa centre, a wonderful view over the town, once you get to the top of the slight hill (it’s not too steep). Or turn left and go down the hill to the beach but I’d recommend a taxi back up!!

Looking forward to our holiday in a few weeks, I can almost smell the wonderful breakfast just thinking about it!!

me and my boyfriend are going on our first holiday this year altamadores (puerto rico) on June 20th. We are really excited and from the reviews are really looking forward to our stay. We have a couple of questions, what kind of themed nights do you offer in terms of meals other than chinese and barbeque? and what entertainment is available?
